As for Junior and Senior High Choir, we will study different genres of music, the techniques and correct way to sing and project your voice, learn to site read, as well as other fun activities involving music. Students will be required to attend and perform at a Fall Choir Concert, the National Anthem at Football Games, the Veteran’s Program, the 9/11 Program, and a concert in the Spring.  Dates of these activities will be given to students in advance to make arragements to attend.  Other activities may be added as the school year progresses depending on time we may have to prepare for other performances.  Students will also be encouraged to compete in All Region try-outs.  Students in choir will be required to have either a black dress that at least touches the knee or a pair of black dress pants accompanied with a solid white, buttoned up, long sleeve shirt.  This attire will be worn at the concerts mentioned above but in some cases students may wear a choir t-shirt and jeans when the teacher announces for this attire.  If any student is unable to purchase the attire needed for the concerts, please contact me.  Choir students will also need to purchase a choir t-shirt that they will wear when we attend games to sing the National Anthem or other various FUN activities.  I will give information out in class on how to purchase this shirt. 

Choir will be fun and students will enjoy learning music as well as experiencing other types of music performances through field trips.
